Yesterday saw the open launch of Dungeons & Dragons Online Unlimited, and from what we hear the stampede of players headed for Turbine’s servers to check it out caused a bit of a hiccup. As it’s tied to the monstrous name in Pen & Paper gaming, there is definitely a bunch of interest in seeing just what has changed in the game since its early days.
That said, we wanted to ask you if you’d gotten a chance to check out Turbine’s re-imagined take on the tabletop favorite of so many? Did you give the new Dungeons & Dragons Online a whirl? Now that it has a F2P option, will you be spending time doing some dungeon crawling in DDO?
It’s DIY Valve Action Figure Week this week at Kotaku, as hot on the heels of yesterday’s lineup of Team Fortress 2 toys comes this fan-made Hunter from Left 4 Dead. And doesn’t he look…hungry….
There’s a device in the Metal Gear Solid stealth series in which Snake can sneak past guards by simply covering himself in a cardboard box. This isn’t just a game convention. It apparently really…

These guys are nuts. I mean, I’ve seen some heated ping pong matches in my time, but none of them ever got to the point where one guy took his short off, let alone two guys.

Yeah, ten years on and the Dreamcast is still happily seeing new titles released. Even if it is only a trickle of releases, I think most Dreamcast fans are happy to see that some people want to keep on supporting the system. Probably best known for their work on Beats of Rage, Senile Team has announced the release date for their latest gameRush Rush Rally Racing, coming to an online store near you October 2009 – so next month!
Like with all of the recent (well post Dreamcast ‘death’) titles, Rush Rush Rally Racing isn’t about having fancy visuals. Senile Team has taken the route of making a very old school 2D top down racing title, which might disappoint some people – I know I’d like a new SEGA Rally style title – but the game does look very fun.
I especially like the bit in the trailer where it says; “No Realistic Backgrounds, No Sponsored Cars. Only Fun, Retro Gameplay.” Says it all really ).
Find out more over at Senile Team’s website and you can pre-order the game over at RedSpotGames, where you get a discount on the game. Lovely.
